An Active Shooter is an individual actively engaged in killing or attempting to kill people in a confined and populated area; in most cases, active shooters use firearms(s) and there is no pattern or method to their selection of victims.

However, what if we could prevent an active shooter incident in the workplace? A simple plan of action prior to impacting an employee would save lives. These days it seems like a weekly incident involving some sort of Workplace Violence or an Active Shooter is being cast over our news. Hopefully, you haven’t been affected directly. People these days are feeling the pressure of worry. If you are a company that has to let an employee go for any reason, keep in mind you are not aware of their personal situation at home or in life. You do not know if they will become violent at a moment’s notice.

Our solution is to embed a 9th Shield Agent the day of the termination. Having a concealed armed Agent in the room when the employee is being impacted is a wise decision. Staying on site for the duration of the day as well is a wise decision. At times we are asked to stay for a week or two, as the first 72 hours are critical.
